Job summary

RWS is seeking AI conversation data contributors for a Norwegian Nynorsk speech data collection project. You will work remotely, delivering brief, task-based recordings with flexible hours, approximately 2–4 hours daily, starting immediately.

Participants will record natural speech from real-life situations and annotate the data according to provided guidelines. Strong language skills in Norwegian Nynorsk and English are required, with attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Norwegian Nynorsk.
• Good command of written English to follow instructions.
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Help Shape the Future of AI

This short project offers an opportunity to evaluate and improve speech recognition and conversational AI technologies by providing spontaneous speech collected from real-life situations.

How Your Recordings Will Be Used

The collected recordings, annotations, and related metadata will be used to evaluate the spontaneous speech capabilities of speech-enabled AI models. The compiled data may be reviewed for quality and incorporated into datasets used for research, development, testing, and improvement of AI systems.

What You’ll Do

• Record or collect natural, spontaneous speech in accordance with the project guidelines.
• Participate in or capture speech from approved real-life situations, such as workplace conversations or casual one-on-one discussions.
• Complete individual or two-person conversational speech tasks, or participate in voice or voice-text interactions with an AI or machine-based system.
• Annotate collected speech data according to the instructions provided.
• Provide the required information and metadata related to each recording.

What We’re Looking For

• Native-level fluency inNorwegian Nynorsk.
• Authentic pronunciation and strong familiarity with the target language through everyday use.
• Advanced level of English to understand written instructions.
• Contributors must not imitate dialects or accents that are not their own.
• Experience with speech recording or data annotation projects is an advantage, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail when providing annotations and recording metadata.
• Ability to follow detailed project and recording instructions.
