Job summary

Van der Leun seeks a Commissioning Engineer to independently commission, maintain and repair electrical installations on board yachts in the Amsterdam/Aalsmeer region. You will resolve malfunctions in 400 V, 230 V, and 24 V systems, and test/commission new battery, hybrid and propulsion setups.

Travel to client sites worldwide may occur. You should have an MBO in Electrical Engineering, at least 2 years in yacht commissioning, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• MBO education in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years as Commissioning Engineer in yacht building.
• Knowledge of 400 V, 230 V and 24 V installations and related control systems.
• Experience with testing and commissioning batteries, hybrids and propulsion systems.
• Knowledge of standards, safety regulations, quality and inspection requirements.
• VCA-VOL and NEN 3240 certification or willingness to obtain.
• Dutch and English language skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Commission and maintain electrical installations on board yachts in Amsterdam/Aalsmeer region.
• Resolve malfunctions in electrical installations and control systems.
• Test and commission new installations such as battery, hybrid and propulsion systems; manage service reports.
• Occasionally travel by plane to service clients worldwide.
