Job summary

CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (IA&R) in Amsterdam is seeking a Working Student to support the Dutch investment accounting and oversight team. The role offers hands-on experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and stakeholder management while supporting real estate investment structures.

You will work 2-3 days per week in our Amsterdam office, collaborating with accountants and controllers to develop a strong foundation for a career in finance.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interest in accounting, financial reporting, and finance.
• Good analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dutch language skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables.
• Support accountants in maintaining accurate financial records.
• Post invoices and accounting entries.
• Review financial information from property managers and external providers.
• Support data collection and reporting requests from stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per week, with regular attendance in our Amsterdam office.

Your Role

As a Working Student, you will support the Dutch Investment Accounting & Investment Oversight team in the day-to-day delivery of accounting, reporting, and control activities for real estate investment structures.

You will work closely with accountants and controllers, gaining hands‑on experience across financial reporting, reconciliations, invoice processing, and stakeholder management while developing a strong foundation for a future career in finance.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting Support

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting deliverables
• Support accountants and controllers in maintaining accurate financial records
• Take care of posting of invoices and accounting entries
• Assist with reviewing financial information received from property managers and external accounting providers
• Assist with data collection and reporting requests from internal and external stakeholders

Audit & Compliance Support

• Assist with gathering information for auditors, tax advisors, and other external parties
• Support the team in maintaining internal controls and reporting processes

Team & Project Support

• Participate in team meetings and training sessions
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives
• Assist with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required

Your Profile

Essential

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong interest in accounting, financial reporting, and finance
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Available to work approximately 2-3 days per week

Desirable

• Previous internship, working student, or academic experience in finance, accounting, or audit
• Interest in real estate and investment management
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Yardi, Dynamics, or similar platforms
• Dutch language skills
