Job summary

NN Personeel B.V. is seeking a Tech Lead for the Windows & SQL Server team within Managed IaaS. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with a clear architectural direction to modernize and maintain Windows Server and SQL Server platforms.

You will drive automation, ensure security and reliability, and collaborate with Product Owners, Domain Architects, and other Tech Leads. The position is based in The Hague with opportunities to influence enterprise infrastructure strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Senior/Lead Engineer, SQL Server Admin, or Windows Engineer.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server environments and SQL Server.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and standardization.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to engineers, architects and stakeholders.
• Decisive, able to guide others and provide direction.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical direction and roadmap for Windows and SQL Server services within Managed IaaS.
• Translate architectural decisions into practical, executable solutions for the team.
• Support the Domain Architect with technical insights for architectural decisions.
• Own technical decision-making within your domain and prevent delays.
• Contribute to ADRs, Solution Intents, and other technical docs.
• Ensure technical quality via reviews, standards, and best practices.
• Support engineers in solving complex challenges without taking ownership from the team.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Improve operational stability, security, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Represent the team in technical forums and communicate back to engineers.
