Job summary

Exact seeks a Windows Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our global IT infrastructure. You will focus on Windows Server environments, AD, DNS, DHCP, and group policies to maximize uptime and performance for internal clients worldwide.

You will automate tasks with PowerShell, work with VMware and IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible, and collaborate across teams. Flexibility to work from home or Exact offices is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology with 5+ years of relevant international experience.
• Strong Windows/Infrastructure background with AD, DNS, DHCP, and GP.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of Intune, Defender suites, and security baselines.

Responsibilities

The Exact architecture is spread out over multiple datacenters and approximately 15 offices across the world. We are busy innovating and automating our infrastructure with automation and self-service as well as being the internal IAAS/PAAS provider. We are implementing and maintaining multiple datacenter security initiatives to harden the security of network and server areas.

What will you be doing? As a Windows engineer you are focused on continuously improving all aspects of our IT environment by using your analytical and technical skills. Together with the team you are responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the Exact IT infrastructure. You do this by maximizing the uptime and performance of our infrastructure services delivered to our internal clients across the globe.

Furthermore, in this role you will:

• Managing and optimizing Windows Server environments
• Working with Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving system performance and uptime
• Automating repetitive tasks using tools like PowerShell
• Working with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware)
• Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors
• Creating and maintaining documentation and procedures

This = what you bring

A match is made when you are that candidate with a bachelor degree in Information Technology and at least 5-8 years of relevant experience within an international environment. To ensure we have an awesome match, you:

5+ years of experience as a Windows / Infrastructure Engineer

Strong knowledge of:

• Windows Server
• Active Directory (AD DS), Group Policy
• DNS and DHCP
• Experience with PowerShell scripting (or similar)
• Experience with IAC tools; Terraform and/or Ansible
• Experience working in complex IT environments
• Working with Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and compliance, alongside Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, SIEM/SOAR tools, MFA, Conditional Access, and security baselines.
• Networking knowledge (firewalls, VPN, load balancing)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Nice to have:

• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
• Experience with VMware (or similar virtualization platforms)
• Basic knowledge of IT security (MFA, hardening, monitoring)
• Experience with container technologies (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Experience with Intune or modern workplace solutions
