Job summary

Valor Groep, part of the Ortessa Group, is seeking a Wheel Loader Operator / Recycling Plant Operator to join our outdoor team and help give waste a second life. You will operate wheel loaders and other heavy equipment, direct loads, and sort materials for recycling with safety and efficiency at the core.

Qualifications

• Experience operating wheel loaders, excavators, material handlers, or other heavy equipment.
• Willingness to obtain a VCA certificate through Valor Groep.
• Experience with sorting cranes or material handlers is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operating wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to process waste streams.
• Directing loads to correct processing locations.
• Inspecting and sorting materials for recycling and reuse.
• Recovering valuable materials from waste streams.
• Feeding oversized materials into shredding installations.
• Performing basic daily maintenance on machinery.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to optimize recycling processes.

What will you do?

As a Wheel Loader Operator, you play an important role in giving valuable materials a second life. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that incoming waste streams are processed efficiently, safely, and sustainably.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Operating various types of heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, material handlers, and shredders
• Directing incoming loads to the correct processing locations
• Inspecting and sorting materials for recycling and reuse
• Recovering valuable raw materials from waste streams
• Feeding oversized materials into shredding installations
• Performing basic daily maintenance on machinery and equipment
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Working closely with colleagues to optimize recycling processes

• Alternatively, a strong motivation to learn and develop these skills
• A valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one through Valor Groep
• Experience with sorting cranes or material handlers is an advantage
• A flexible, hands-on attitude
• Good communication skills
• A strong commitment to safety
• Team spirit and a proactive mindset
