Job summary

Haldu Group in Utrecht is seeking an order picker for a prominent Dutch icon brand with 500 stores. You will perform light warehouse tasks, scanning and sorting items, and ensure orders are accurate and shipped on time.

Working in a two-shift schedule, you’ll keep to fixed morning or afternoon blocks, with occasional overtime and possible weekend shifts. Housing options are available around Alkmaar/ Heerhugowaard, and a travel time of about one hour from Utrecht is expected.

Job description

The client is a famous Dutch icon brand with over 500 stores, including several in Utrecht. They operate modern distribution centers specializing in the handling, sorting, and distribution of household items, clothing, and retail products.

Job Overview

This is light warehouse work involving household items and clothing. As an order picker, you will serve as a key link in the warehouse, ensuring customers and stores receive their orders on time.

Key responsibilities

• Scanning and sorting products (using light or voice-pick systems).
• Performing quality checks and registering goods.
• Picking and preparing orders for shipment.

Employees work in a two-shift system with fixed scheduling.

Once you start on a shift, you continue working on that same shift with no rotation:Morning shift: 07:00–16:30 (or 06:00–14:00) Afternoon/Evening shift: 17:00–23:45 (or 14:00–22:00)

Overtime: Work is mainly from Monday to Friday, but weekend shifts may be required. During high workloads, shifts may be extended until as late as 02:00.

Flexibility: Options for full-time or part-time schedules.

Housing is currently located around Alkmaar and Heerhugowaard. Because the distance to Utrecht is approximately 70 km, candidates must be prepared for a travel time of around 1 hour each way.

In addition to the base salary, employees also get shift anf holiday allowances.

• Reliability & Focus: Ability to pass a quick attention-to-detail screening test matching barcodes and numbers.
• Accommodation: Willing to share a room with other tenants.
• Partner: Ready to work in different shifts with partner.

Introduction & Assessment

• A short initial interview in English to discuss your background, work history, and motivation.
• A timed barcode-and-number matching test (40 examples, 4 minutes) to check your attention to detail.
• A facility tour covering changing rooms, the canteen, and the workplace. Successful candidates can start as early as the following day.
