Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist to manage the full cycle of receiving, storage and distribution on a large-scale container terminal project at Maasvlakte. You will operate SAP/ERP systems, maintain accurate stock records and coordinate with on-site teams to ensure timely material availability.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in warehouse/logistics, a 40-hour work week, and a valid forklift certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics and inventory control.
• Available for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Excellent command of English (international team).
• Valid forklift certificate or willingness to obtain one soon.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, unloading and processing materials and equipment.
• Recording goods movements in SAP/ERP and Excel.
• Conducting inventory counts and monitoring stock levels.
• Coordinating deliveries to on-site teams and operating the forklift.
• Ensuring compliance with HSE guidelines and keeping storage area organized.
• Liaising with suppliers, project managers, site engineers and quality inspectors.

who are you

As a Warehouse Specialist, you possess the following qualifications:

• You have at least 2 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, and inventory control
• You are available for a minimum of 40 hours per week
• You have working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems
• You have an excellent command in English (due to the international team)
• You hold a valid forklift certificate, or are willing to obtain one in the short term

what will you do

In this role, you are the key linchpin in the warehouse, responsible for the entire process from receiving, storage, and inventory control to distributing materials to the project team. You are proactive, work with high precision, possess strong administrative skills, and know how to keep your cool on a busy project site.

• Receiving, checking, unloading, and processing materials and equipment
• Accurately recording all goods movements and transactions in SAP/ERP and Excel
• Conducting inventory counts, monitoring stock levels, and driving material availability
• Coordinating deliveries to on-site installation teams and operating the forklift
• Ensuring and enforcing strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines, as well as keeping the storage area clean and organized
• Liaising with suppliers, project managers, site engineers, and quality inspectors
