Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Logistics Associate for our DePuy Synthes Service Center in Amersfoort/Utrecht, Netherlands. The role focuses on ensuring smooth warehouse operations and end-to-end logistics across procurement, transportation, and distribution, with close collaboration with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation activities, route planning, shipping schedules, and delivery execution; monitor shipments and address delays.

Purpose

This versatile role is crucial to ensuring the seamless and efficient flow of materials, products, and information within our organization. As a Logistics Associate, you will support logistics and supply chain operations to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Please note that, this role involves working in the warehouse and physical activities such as lifting of heavy boxes.

Your responsibilities will include

• Performing activities in the warehouse, including handling, moving, and lifting products and boxes
• Coordinating end-to-end supply chain activities, including procurement, transportation, distribution, and inventory processes and collaborating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
• Coordinating transportation activities such route planning, shipping schedules, and delivery execution, monitoring and tracking shipments, proactively addressing delays and logistics-related issues and supporting inventory optimization initiatives to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory; maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity
• Partnering with other colleagues to ensure efficient coordination across the business

Qualifications / Requirements

We're looking for a detail-oriented and quality-focused team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and follows established procedures and work instructions with accuracy and consistency as well as:

• Education requirement - completed lower secondary education (ISCED 2)
• Preferably previous experience in logistics and supply chain management, a logistics or warehouse background with experience handling shipping and logistics documentation
• Familiarity with logistics software, inventory management tools, and supply chain systems including working with carrier platforms such as DHL or similar logistics systems, would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions; high attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in inventory management and logistics coordination
• Fluent English (including written/email communication), very good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions; strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills, including working with external partners and suppliers
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing changing priorities; adaptability and willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives and innovative logistics solutions

Separation notice

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 12 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. The anticipated base pay range for this position

€34.200,00 - €50.600,00

• In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
