VATAHA is looking for a Volunteer Report Writer to join our press team in covering our social and educational events that promote Ukrainian culture throughout the Netherlands. We are seeking an inquisitive, critically thinking Report Writer to join our writer’s team of 3 for a minimum of 2 hours a week with a sharp journalistic mindset and an eye for detail.

Key responsibilities:

• Write clear and concise blog articles covering VATAHA’s own events.
• Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure accurate, complete information.
• Edit and proofread own and others’ reports to ensure high-quality output.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attend and in some cases assist in organizing VATAHA events.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or Ukrainian is an advantage.
• Proven experience in interviewing, independent research and report writing.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Wordpress and other CMS.
• Conviction of Ukrainian independence and sovereignty.
• Background in arts, culture/social studies, journalism and communication is a plus.
• Tax deduction as a volunteer working for an ANBI-status organization.
