Job summary

MSD in the Netherlands is offering an internship in Life Sciences/Molecular Virology within our Discovery & Technology department. You will join a team of researchers working on early-stage vector vaccines, performing hands-on lab work and weekly progress reviews.

The role targets final year BSc/MSc students with biology background, capable of independent work after training, and strong Dutch/English communication.

Qualifications

• Final year BSc or MSc in Life Sciences.
• Familiar with molecular biology, cell culture, viruses and/or vaccines.
• Excellent Dutch and/or English communication, written and verbal.
• Available for 6–9 months, 4–5 days per week.
• Willing to take initiative and work independently after training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct early-stage research on recombinant viral vector-based vaccine.
• Design, rescue and test vaccine candidates in an in-vitro system; select for in-vivo studies.
• Weekly progress meetings with project leader and technician; contribute to data interpretation.
