What are we looking for?

KOMPAS is expanding its investment team and hiring investment analysts to support our investment teams with deal sourcing, market analysis, due diligence, and portfolio management. You are intellectually curious and highly analytical, passionate about entrepreneurship and innovation. A fast learner, you are comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. You are a strong communicator, apply yourself with rigour and discipline, and stick to deadlines. You understand that empathy, imagination, and humility are as important as sound analysis when assessing an investment opportunity.

Your Responsibilities

• You will support senior investment team members on all aspects of the deal cycle, from deal sourcing to due diligence and portfolio management.
• Perform initial validation of business plans and technical concepts and conduct interviews with customers and industry experts.
• Prepare in‑depth market research and competitor analysis, and create and maintain financial models.
• Support the team with different portfolio management tasks, incl. the development and tracking of KPIs.
• Support the Platform team LPs/investor relation tasks.
• Attend select industry events to stay on top of the latest industry trends, build your network with analysts and associates in other firms, and support deal sourcing.
• Support the development of the KOMPAS investment thesis through in‑depth research of new trends and technological developments.

Qualifications & Profile

• An undergraduate degree from a top‑tier university with excellent grades. A degree in a STEM subject is a plus.
• You meet the requirements which permit you to work in the European Union.
• A demonstrated interest in technology, venture capital, and entrepreneurship, e.g., through relevant internships, extracurricular activities, and touch points with the startup scene.
• Responsible and independent ways of working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• You have excellent analytical skills and communicate succinctly and with empathy.
• Skilled use of standard Microsoft Office software packages, incl. PowerPoint and Excel. Programming skills are a plus.
