Job summary

NN Group N.V. is seeking an Azure-focused cloud engineer to join the Azure Cloud Foundation Team in The Hague. You will help implement cloud infrastructure, deliver PaaS on Azure, and drive IaC and automation using Terraform, ARM, and Azure DevOps. Strong security, governance, and IAM knowledge are essential.

Remote/hybrid work is supported; most team activities occur in The Hague. Proactive learning, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement are important in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience implementing cloud infrastructure and/or networking solutions, preferably in large-scale environments.
• Experience delivering Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Azure.
• Strong expertise in IaC using Terraform and ARM.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and automation, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, governance, compliance, identity and access management, and networking.
• Scripting experience, preferably PowerShell.
• Interest in developing and maintaining internal APIs; TypeScript is a plus.
• Azure certifications are advantageous.
• Dutch language skills preferred for a mostly Dutch-speaking team.

Responsibilities

• At least 5 years of experience implementing cloud infrastructure and/or networking solutions, preferably in large-scale environments
• Experience working in teams that deliver Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Azure
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM
• Experience with CI/CD practices and automation, preferably using Azure DevOps
• A deep understanding of cloud best practices related to security, governance, compliance, identity and access management, and networking
• Experience with scripting, preferably PowerShell
• An interest in developing and maintaining internally developed service APIs. Experience with TypeScript is a plus
• Azure certifications are considered an advantage
• Experience with containers is a plus
• A good command of English, the working language within NN. Knowledge of Dutch is preferred, as you will be working in a predominantly Dutch-speaking team
• An open mindset, curiosity, and a strong eagerness to learn and develop

Who you will work with

The Azure Cloud Foundation Team consists of 4 skilled infrastructure engineers. The team is part of the Public Cloud Domain of NN where we have an open culture with honest and fun people. We also have team days and other events within the team and outside of it. Every Thursday we work from the office in The Hague, but you are free to come to the office whenever you like. All in all, there is plenty of opportunity to work with passion and to have fun while doing it.
