Job summary

NN Group in The Hague is looking for an experienced Azure-focused infrastructure engineer to join the Cloud Foundation Team. You will help design and maintain Azure-based infrastructure, translate stakeholder needs into scalable, secure solutions, and grow with an evolving platform.

You will work in a collaborative, English-speaking environment with Dutch language support, and Thursdays in The Hague office; training and certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing cloud infrastructure and/or networking.
• Experience delivering Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Azure.
• IaC expertise with Terraform and ARM.
• CI/CD practices, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Security, governance, compliance, identity and access management, and networking knowledge.
• Scripting with PowerShell.
• Interest in APIs; TypeScript is a plus.
• Azure certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with containers is a plus.
• Strong English; Dutch is preferred for a Dutch-speaking team.

In addition, you bring:

• At least 5 years of experience implementing cloud infrastructure and/or networking solutions, preferably in large-scale environments
• Experience working in teams that deliver Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions on Azure
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM
• Experience with CI/CD practices and automation, preferably using Azure DevOps
• A deep understanding of cloud best practices related to security, governance, compliance, identity and access management, and networking
• Experience with scripting, preferably PowerShell
• An interest in developing and maintaining internally developed service APIs. Experience with TypeScript is a plus
• Azure certifications are considered an advantage
• Experience with containers is a plus
• A good command of English, the working language within NN. Knowledge of Dutch is preferred, as you will be working in a predominantly Dutch-speaking team
• An open mindset, curiosity, and a strong eagerness to learn and develop

Who you will work with

The Azure Cloud Foundation Team consists of 4 skilled infrastructure engineers. The team is part of the Public Cloud Domain of NN where we have an open culture with honest and fun people. We also have team days and other events within the team and outside of it. Every Thursday we work from the office in The Hague, but you are free to come to the office whenever you like. All in all, there is plenty of opportunity to work with passion and to have fun while doing it.
