Job summary

VML, part of WPP, is seeking a Senior SEO Specialist to lead end-to-end SEO strategies in Amsterdam. You will act as a senior advisor to clients and internal teams, driving technical SEO with development and content teams, and turning data into actionable recommendations.

You will mentor medior and junior SEO specialists, contribute to international collaboration within the VML network, and work in a flexible hybrid environment with English fluency as a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SEO experience (technical and strategic).
• Fluent in English (Dutch is highly desirable).
• Experience with complex websites and enterprise-level clients.
• Strong stakeholder management and consultancy skills.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.

What you’ll do:

• A senior SEO specialist who’s comfortable owning complex projects
• Confident in advising stakeholders at different levels
• Analytical, structured, and pragmatic; you don’t overcomplicate things
• Comfortable working across markets and cultures
• Someone who enjoys helping others grow, not just doing the work yourself

What you’ll need:

• Fluent in English (Dutch is highly desirable)
• 5–7+ years of hands-on SEO experience (technical and strategic)
• Experience with complex websites and enterprise-level clients
• Strong stakeholder management and consultancy skills
• Solid experience with tools like Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, GSC, GA4
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members
• Currently residing in The Netherlands

• A monthly salary of up to 6,500.00- euro gross/month, based on experience.
