TomTom ищет опытного UX‑дизайнера/картографа для разработки и доработки 2D и 3D карт от идеи до готового продукта. Вы будете управлять полным циклом дизайна: исследование данных, эскизы, внедрение стилей, QA и итерации.

Требуется владение MapLibre/Mapbox GL JS, OpenStreetMap инструментами, QGIS/ArcGIS, работа с геопространственными наборами и тесное взаимодействие с инженерами над данными и SDK. Возможности развития, обучение и гибкие условия.

Qualifications

• 5+ лет профессионального опыта в UX-дизайне, картографическом дизайне, GIS или геопространственной визуализации
• Углубленная база в цифровой картографии, GIS или дизайне ГИС
• Практический опыт проектирования многоуровневых цифровых карт с учётом размещения подписей, обобщения и культурной адаптации
• Опыт работы с MapLibre, Mapbox GL JS, инструментами OpenStreetMap, QGIS, ArcGIS, Leaflet или OpenLayers
• Опыт работы с разнообразными пространственными наборами данных: векторные/растровые тайлы, GeoJSON, shapefiles, облака точек, данные рельефа
• Умение создавать впечатляющие 2D/3D карты с пониманием рендеринга в реальном времени
• Знакомство с Git, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD
• Степень по картографии/географии/GIS/UX-дизайну или эквивалентный опыт

Responsibilities

• Проектирование и доработка 2D и 3D визуализаций карт от концепции до итоговой реализации
• Владение полным циклом карографического дизайна: исследование данных, эскизы, внедрение стилей, QA и итерации
• Улучшение базовых стилей карт для единообразия читаемости и визуального качества на глобальном рынке и разных плотностях экранов
• Сотрудничество с инженерами над структурами данных карт, рендерами и SDK
• Участие в обсуждениях проектирования решений и предоставление чётких спецификаций дизайна
• Определение требований к внутренним инструментам картографирования и поиск улучшений рабочих процессов
• Участие в пользовательских исследованиях, общениях с клиентами и сравнительном анализе конкурентов
• Документирование паттернов, конвенций и картографических руководств в дизайн‑системе

• Design and refine 2D and 3D map visualisations from concept through production delivery
• Own the end-to-end cartographic design process including data exploration, sketching, style implementation, QA, and iteration
• Enhance core map styles to ensure consistency, readability, and visual quality across global markets and screen densities
• Collaborate with software engineers on map data structures, renderers, and SDKs
• Contribute to solution design discussions and provide clear design specifications
• Define requirements for internal cartographic authoring tools and identify workflow improvements
• Participate in user research, customer conversations, and competitive benchmarking to inform design decisions
• Document patterns, conventions, and cartographic guidelines within the design system

Требования

• 5+ Years of professional experience in UX design, cartographic design, GIS, or geospatial visualisation
• Strong background in digital cartography, GIS, or geographic information design
• Hands-on experience designing multi-zoom digital maps with attention to label placement, generalisation, and cultural adaptation
• Proficiency with mapping technologies such as MapLibre, Mapbox GL JS, OpenStreetMap tools, QGIS, ArcGIS, Leaflet, or OpenLayers
• Experience working with diverse spatial datasets including vector/raster tiles, GeoJSON, shapefiles, point clouds, or terrain data
• Ability to build visually compelling 2D and 3D map experiences with an understanding of real-time rendering concepts
• Familiarity with software development workflows including Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cartography, Geography, GIS, UX Design, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
• Nice to have: Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender), front-end development languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, WebGL, GLSL), scripting for cartographic automation (Python, PostGIS, Overpass API), map data processing tools (Tippecanoe, Tilemaker, osm2pgsql, Mapnik), knowledge of automotive/logistics industries, spatial computing trends, or design systems at scale
