Jobgether on behalf of a partner company is seeking an Umbundu Language Specialist for a freelance AI trainer project, remotely from the Netherlands. You will review and refine AI-generated Umbundu content to improve accuracy, fluency, and cultural relevance.

You will annotate, provide actionable feedback, help shape prompts and evaluation methods, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high language quality across AI education, accessibility, and communication applications.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Umbundu with strong grammar and cultural context.
• Experience in translation, linguistics, or language teaching, editing or proofreading.
• Ability to provide structured, actionable feedback.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Review, annotate, and refine Umbundu text generated by AI systems.
• Evaluate linguistic accuracy, grammar, syntax, semantics, fluency, style, and overall readability.
• Assess whether AI-generated content reflects authentic Umbundu usage and appropriate cultural context.
• Identify, document, and categorize recurring linguistic errors, inconsistencies, and unnatural expressions.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated Umbundu content.
• Contribute to the refinement of prompts, evaluation methods, and linguistic guidelines.
• Apply understanding of Umbundu language conventions and cultural nuances to ensure outputs are natural.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to support consistent language quality and continuous improvement of AI systems.
