Job summary

GFL Environmental is hiring a Truck Mechanic in Stopperside, NL, to safely operate, repair, and maintain a diverse fleet including hydro-vacs, tankers, and vac trucks. The role requires Red Seal certification or near completion, a valid driver's license, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

On-site work with comprehensive benefits is offered. Relocation and sign-on options are available; prior experience with heavy-duty equipment is valued.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification or nearing completion of Red Seal requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, repair, and maintain our fleet including hydro-vacs, tankers, vac trucks, and more.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Provide local repair and road call (emergency response).
• Write service reports and record analysis.
