Job summary

ECS European Containers Ltd invites applications for a Transport Planner in Venlo. You will creatively use intermodal options to guarantee service levels, while honoring supplier agreements and fixed terms. Qualifications

What will your day look like?
You will have a varied role within a fast-growing and innovative company. Together with your team, you work daily on creating the most efficient and cost-effective planning for our customers. Communication lines are short, and you learn a lot from and with each other. You are in frequent contact with other operational departments, not only in Venlo but also in Zeebrugge. You switch quickly between email and phone, work accurately in various systems, or simply walk over to a colleague’s desk. You always focus on what is most efficient.
Daily contact with colleagues, subcontractors, and staff at rail terminals gives you energy. You are stress-resistant and able to maintain a clear overview at all times.

ECS plans an average of 5,000 shipments per week. You enjoy the challenge of contributing to on-time deliveries for our customers through efficient and cost-effective planning. You speak and write German and English well, and you are fluent in Dutch, which is essential for your contact with colleagues in Venlo and Zeebrugge.

Your role at a glance:

• You creatively use (intermodal) transport options to guarantee maximum service for our customers, while taking fixed agreements with suppliers into account
• You achieve targeted transit times by booking and monitoring available capacity within the (intermodal) transport chain in a timely manner, respecting customer delivery deadlines
• You communicate clearly and effectively with suppliers, your team, and internal departments
• You manage planning changes and ensure accurate administrative handling

Working hours:
Variable between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., taking your personal situation into account.

• You have completed at least an MBO Level 4 education
• Preferably, you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a transport planner within the logistics or transport sector and are ready for a new challenge
• You are able to work in a continuously changing planning environment and are stress-resistant
• You are fluent in Dutch and speak and write English and German well
• You are flexible and dynamic and can switch quickly when needed
