Brouwer Technology in the Netherlands is seeking a hands-on Train Electrician & Mechanic to upgrade and modernize classic locomotives. You will work inside and outside locomotives to install electrical and mechanical systems, reading technical drawings and following safety standards.

The role emphasizes craftsmanship, with a long-term team environment and growth opportunities. Relocation not required; a company car or e-bike option is available, plus tools and safety gear provided.

Qualifications

• Completed MBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
• Experience with electrical and/or mechanical installations (2+ years).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of rail or transport systems is advantageous.
• Independent yet collaborative, with driving license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Strip and refit locomotive cabins (20+ years old).
• Replace panels, wiring, switches and control handles.
• Install sensors, traceability tech and advanced systems.
• Read and work from technical drawings and diagrams.
• Upgrade wiring, antennas and smart sensors in locomotives.
• Enhance locomotive systems to meet modern safety standards.

Train Electrician & Mechanic Job in the Netherlands

Location: Roosendaal, The Netherlands
Salary: 600 Euro / weekly net

Imagine working in a beautifully renovated monumental train station, filled with daylight, underfloor heating, and four original tracks where you will help modernize over 200 locomotives. AtBrouwer Technology,innovation meets history, and you can be part of this extraordinary project.

We are assembling a dedicated team of around 20 professionals to rebuild and upgrade classic locomotives with the latest electrical and mechanical systems.

As aTrain Electrician / Mechanic, you will work both inside and outside locomotives to upgrade, refit, and modernize them to today’s safety and technical standards. Your tasks will include:

Key Responsibilities:

• Stripping and refitting locomotive cabins (20+ years old)
• Replacing panels, wiring, switches, and control handles
• Installing advanced systems like sensors and traceability technology
• Reading and working from technical drawings and diagrams
• Installing wiring, antennas, and smart sensors
• Upgrading locomotive systems to meet modern safety and operational standards

This is hands‑on, precision‑based craftsmanship — not a plug‑and‑play position.

We are looking for proactive professionals with strong technical insight who are ready to grow and build with the team.
