Job summary

Pon.Bike, a global mobility company, is seeking a sharp Trade Compliance & Customs Expert to guide our products across borders. You will balance proactive problem-solving with hands-on operational work to keep imports and exports flowing smoothly.

You will collaborate with design, logistics and finance teams, work with key partners like Nike, and help implement compliance standards, HTS classifications, and sustainability initiatives such as CBAM.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years in global trade compliance and customs operations in apparel/footwear
• Solid understanding of international trade frameworks (AEO) and HTS classification
• Collaborative mindset across design, logistics, and finance teams
• Focus on optimizing tariffs during product design and sustainability initiatives (CBAM)
• Autonomous, detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and audit readiness
• English fluency (written and spoken); Dutch/Italian is a bonus

What You Bring

• Experience: 3 to 5+ years working in global trade compliance and customs operations, with specific, proven experience in the apparel and footwear industries.
• Trade Knowledge: A solid understanding of international trade frameworks (AEO) and HTS classification rules.
• A Collaborative Mindset: You thrive in a cross-functional environment and love partnering with design, logistics, and finance teams to make things happen.
• Big-Picture Optimization: You enjoy stepping back to look at the whole process, identifying ways to optimize tariffs during product design, and exploring sustainability initiatives like CBAM.
• Autonomy & Detail: You are a self-driven, proactive organizer who takes pride in keeping precise records and maintaining audit readiness.
• Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Dutch and/or Italian is a wonderful bonus!
