Job summary

Axia Vegetable Seeds, Naaldwijk-based breeding company, is seeking a Breeding Operations Employee to support daily breeding activities in our greenhouse operations and contribute to tomato variety development.

You work hands-on, ensure protocol-adherence, manage plant material, and collaborate with breeders to maintain quality and data records across the breeding process. Full-time or part-time, negotiable hours, with competitive conditions.

Qualifications

• MBO working and thinking level, preferably in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
• Affinity with plants and greenhouse operations.
• Practical and proactive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible mindset and willingness to support different activities during the season.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily execution of breeding activities
• Carry out operational greenhouse and breeding tasks
• Work with plant and seed material throughout the breeding process
• Ensure accurate execution of protocols and work instructions
• Maintain high standards of quality and hygiene
• Support the collection and administration of breeding data
• Collaborate closely with breeders and operational teams
