Technical lead (hands on)
About the Role

As a Technical lead, you will identify and solve complex problems using your deep experience in product management. You will lead cross-functional teams to define and develop product strategies that align with market opportunities, delivering innovative solutions that meet customer needs and support our core business goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for steering the product's overall strategy to ensure alignment with a long-term vision that promotes future growth. This is a fully remote position that can be done from anywhere, with occasional travel expected.

Responsibilities
Consulting & Trusted Advising:

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by building strong relationships with stakeholders and acting as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and decisions. Conduct comprehensive market, business, and user research to identify opportunities and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proactively manage risk by developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address challenges effectively.

Stakeholder Management:

Develop trusted relationships across all levels, maintaining a clear understanding of stakeholder priorities. Drive alignment by surfacing conflicting needs early, brokering trade-offs, and securing commitment to a shared direction. Adapt your communication style to deliver precise, decision-ready updates. Manage adoption continuously from discovery to post-launch, proactively addressing resistance. Negotiate and influence effectively by navigating competing agendas and scope pressure with tact.

Product Delivery:

Define and articulate the long-term product vision, driving roadmap initiatives that reflect market trends and user feedback. Promote cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, and Delivery teams to ensure successful development and alignment. Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch and adoption, prioritizing features and managing trade-offs within budget. Establish a metrics-driven approach with key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive iterative enhancements. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation and agile methodologies.

Innovation & Improvement:

Act as a thought leader by staying up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to foster the professional growth of associate and mid-level Product Managers. Continuously evaluate and improve Foundry processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance team efficiency and outcomes. Promote a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-pollination of ideas within the Product Foundry. Evangelize a strong product culture by promoting values like customer-centricity, agility, and experimentation.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in technological projects related to digital products, software design, and/or development.

A proven track record managing the end-to-end software product lifecycle (building and shipping) of a product or suite of small products with multiple features, complex requirements, diverse stakeholder needs, and a dedicated team.

Track record of taking a solution from 0 to 1 (concept through training/release and post-release adoption/monitoring).

Proven experience leading end-to-end workflow discovery and process redesign in complex, multi-site organizations.

Experience leading discovery sessions in which prioritization and requirements elicitation workshops are conducted.

Strong stakeholder facilitation and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate operational needs into scalable product requirements.

Understanding of, or experience with, web technologies, technical concepts, software development (coding), and APIs.

Ability to quickly ramp up on a new business domain.

Goal-oriented, autonomous, and organized; capable of working independently with minimal supervision while also valuing teamwork.

Strong consulting and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with internal and external partners.

Ability to pitch and articulate value to different audiences.

Experience using agile development methodologies with globally-distributed teams.

Experience using Sketch, Miro, or other modern collaborative design tools to make or make changes to wireframes and designs.

Experience using Jira or other requirements management tools.
