The Technical Development team develops and delivers innovative, more sustainable and high-quality products for Tommy Hilfiger. The team supports the end-to-end technical development process, from initial concept through garment realization, helping ensure product excellence and delivery against company and divisional objectives.
Working closely with Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance and global supplier partners, the team translates the Tommy Hilfiger brand DNA into technically feasible, consistent and production-ready products.
The Technical Developer is a specialist individual contributor within the Technical Development team. The role supports the technical development of garments from initial concept through production, translating agreed design direction into accurate technical specifications and solutions that meet established fit, construction, quality and production standards, with particular technical expertise in knitwear development, including flat-knit construction.
Working within agreed seasonal objectives, the Technical Developer evaluates garment fit and construction, provides technical recommendations and follows through on agreed technical actions with internal teams and supplier partners. The role resolves a range of straightforward technical issues using established methods, manages assigned priorities across the product-development critical path and aligns unfamiliar, material or higher-risk exceptions with the relevant technical lead.
