Job summary

NN Group N.V. is seeking a Tech Lead for our Windows & SQL Server platforms within Managed IaaS in The Hague. You will drive technical direction, own architectural decisions, and guide a team of engineers through modernization and stability initiatives.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Domain Architects, and other Tech Leads, while maintaining hands-on involvement in technical details to ensure credibility and delivery. English required; Dutch helpful for local collaboration.

Qualifications

• Senior Engineer/Lead Engineer or similar role with Windows Server and SQL Server knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Define technical direction and roadmap for Windows/SQL Server services within Managed IaaS.
• Translate architectural decisions into practical solutions for the engineering team.
• Support Domain Architect with technical insights for decisions.
• Own technical decision-making within your domain while avoiding delays.
• Contribute to ADRs, Solution Intents, and technical docs.
• Safeguard technical quality through reviews, standards, and best practices.
• Support engineers in resolving complex challenges while maintaining team ownership.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Improve operational stability, security, performance, and lifecycle of Windows/SQL Server envs.
• Represent the team in technical forums and communicate back to engineers.
