Job summary

NN Group Netherlands in The Hague is seeking a Tech Lead Windows & SQL Server to guide the Windows Server and SQL Server platforms within Managed IaaS. You will shape technical direction, ensure robust, secure, and scalable solutions, and stay hands-on to maintain credibility with the team.

You will own architectural decisions, contribute to ADRs and documentation, drive automation and CI/CD, and collaborate with engineers, Product Owners, and security specialists.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in engineering teams.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server environments and SQL Server.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and standardization.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical direction and roadmap for Windows and SQL Server services within Managed IaaS.
• Translate architectural decisions into practical solutions for the engineering team.
• Support the Domain Architect with insights to make architectural decisions.
• Own technical decision-making within your domain and prevent delays.
• Contribute to ADRs, Solution Intents, and other documentation.
• Safeguard technical quality through reviews, standards, and best practices.
• Drive automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Improve operational stability, security, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Represent the team in technical forums and communicate back to engineers.
