Job summary

Basic-Fit is seeking a Finance Technology Architect to own the long-term design of our finance landscape, with SAP at the core and surrounding analytics, data, and AI platforms. You will decide systems investments, data flows, and process restructures, working closely with Finance leadership and IT teams to scale a fast-growing, publicly listed company.

You will build and own the finance technology backbone, design architecture roadmaps, and translate business needs into concrete, future-proof

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience as a solution architect in a SAP+ environment (SAP at the core, with a broad ecosystem).
• Strong affinity with data and application integration patterns.
• Strong finance process affinity: Purchase-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash.
• Experience across both B2C and B2B contexts within a large consumer business and franchise model.

• Design and document start-, transition-, and target architectures aligned with regulations and standards.

Your Role

As Finance Technology Architect, you own the long-term design of our finance landscape — SAP at the core, with the AP, reporting, integration, workflow, data and AI platforms around it — and you help make it real. We need to decide which systems to invest in, how data should flow between them, and what processes to restructure. You’ll work closely with Finance leadership and IT/Enterprise Automation, and make a visible impact on the finance technology of a fast-growing, publicly listed company.

• Build and own the finance technology backbone of Basic-Fit, including the choice between SAP-native, integration, and analytics/AI solutions, and carry those choices through to implementation and production.
• Design and document start-, transition- and target architectures, compliant with regulations and standards.
• Translate business requirements, process pain points and program objectives into a coherent and well-defined direction, balancing short-term business value with long-term architecture health.
• Drive decision-making discipline: help leadership make timely, well-informed architecture decisions, balancing value with implementation risk.
• Support the shift towards a scalable data platform and a less Excel-dependent, more automated Finance function.
• Grow the architectural maturity of the SAP and finance applications team: raise the bar on how we design, document and decide.

Who are you?

You are an experienced Finance Technology Architect with a strong background in SAP-centric environments and finance transformation. You combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of finance processes, translate business needs into future-proof solutions, and confidently guide stakeholders through complex architecture decisions. You thrive in fast-paced, international organizations.

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience as a solution architect in a “SAP+” environment: SAP at the core, with a broad ecosystem of complementary platforms around it (for AP, statutory reporting, integration, workflow, data, AI).
• Strong affinity with data and application integration patterns.
• Strong finance process affinity: you understand Purchase-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash well enough to support and challenge the Finance team.
• A track record spanning both B2C and B2B contexts, as Basic-Fit runs a large consumer business alongside a franchise (B2B) model.
• Strong change-management skills: able to align stakeholders and bring calm, credible direction.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.

• Salary: A gross monthly salary between €5,370 and €7,500 based on 40 hours, depending on your experience and background.
