De Jong Verpakking by Stora Enso in De Lier, Netherlands, produces corrugated cardboard and converts it into packaging. As Production Team Leader for the Corrugated Cardboard Machine (GKM), you lead a team of about 18, drive safety, quality and output, and ensure the line meets the production schedule.
You will optimize processes, implement improvements, and coordinate in a 3-shift system, with a focus on OEE, yield and efficiency.
The production of corrugated cardboard and its processing into packaging is a very specific process. The start of this process begins with our corrugated cardboard machine, where cardboard sheets are produced. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Processing department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting them. And all of this, of course, according to specific designs, qualities, and sizes that are unique to each customer. As a Production Team Leader for the Corrugated Cardboard Machine (GKM), you ensure the best team performance and act as the point of contact for the team. The main goal is to achieve the maximum machine output according to the schedule together with your team of +/- 18 employees. Safety, quality, and expertise are the driving pillars. You are responsible for various parts of the production process, which consists of multiple components within 2 corrugated cardboard machines. Additionally, you remain alert to opportunities to optimize the process and provide improvement proposals to ensure we produce the best packaging. The Corrugated Cardboard Machine department operates in a 3-shift system.
