Job summary

SGL is seeking a hands‑on and motivated Team Lead Production to manage daily production activities and drive continuous improvements. You will lead the production team, coordinate across multiple lines, and ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.

The role requires proactive leadership, strong communication, and a practical mindset to optimize processes and outcomes. This is an international, fast‑paced environment with opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating a production or assembly team.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems and production reporting is advantageous.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key link between Production, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Warehouse to ensure smooth processes and timely delivery.
• Ensure products are assembled according to quality standards and SOPs.
• Plan production activities and allocate resources effectively to meet goals.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements with relevant teams.
• Monitor production performance, quality, and efficiency and take corrective action.
• Coach and support team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analyses.
• Ensure equipment and workstations are safe, maintained, and available.
• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance with health and safety procedures.

The position

We are looking for a hands‑on and motivated Team Lead Production who is responsible for managing daily production activities and ensuring smooth operations. You will lead the production team, coordinate activities across multiple production lines, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key link between Production, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Warehouse, to ensure smooth processes and timely delivery.
• Ensure products are assembled according to quality standards, work instructions (SOPs), and technical specifications.
• Plan production activities and allocate resources effectively to support operational goals.
• Work closely with the Production & Warehouse Manager to identify bottlenecks and improve processes.
• Monitor production performance, including output, quality, and efficiency, and take action when needed.
• Coach and support team members, creating a collaborative and motivated working environment.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support root cause analyses for production and quality issues together with relevant teams.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and workstations are available, maintained, organized, and safe to use.
• Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and encouraging safe working practices.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and enjoys leading people while continuously improving processes. You have a practical mindset, strong communication skills, and take ownership of achieving results together with your team.

• Secondary vocational education/Higher professional education working and thinking level, preferably in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading or coordinating a production or assembly team.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Experience with production processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Hands‑on mentality with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic production environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems and production reporting is considered an advantage.
• Good command of English is a must, and Dutch is an advantage.
