Job summary

Schenk Intermodal in the Netherlands is seeking an All-round Tank Container Mechanic to join our workshop team. You’ll maintain, repair and modify a diverse fleet of tank containers, applying welding skills (TIG/MIG/MAG) and ensuring safety and quality standards.

We offer a modern workshop environment, an attractive monthly salary (€2,800–€4,200) for a 40-hour week, 27.5 vacation days, 8% holiday allowance and a solid pension plan with Zwitserleven.

Qualifications

• Completed technical or metalworking education.
• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with tank containers.
• Welding certification (TIG/MIG/MAG) or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials is a plus.
• A proactive, flexible, and precise work ethic.
• A team player with an eye for quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work on tank containers, including welding tasks.
• Assemble and disassemble valves, flanges, and gaskets.
• Conduct pressure tests and other safety checks.
• Modify and overhaul container frames and fittings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to keep the workshop safe and efficient.
