Job summary

Schenk Tanktransport GmbH is seeking a Cryogenic Tank Trailer Technician to maintain and repair a fleet of cryogenic trailers used for industrial gases, CO₂, and LNG across Europe. You will work with experienced technicians in a modern workshop to ensure safe operation and compliance with regulations.

The role requires hands-on welding (TIG/MIG-MAG), familiarity with electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics, plus a proactive, detail-oriented approach and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in cryogenic systems or gas technology.
• Experience as a technician or mechanic.
• Familiar with safety procedures and handling hazardous materials.
• Welding certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong troubleshooting and independent working skills.
• Knowledge of electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on cryogenic tank trailers.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical malfunctions quickly and independently.
• Overhauling valves and conducting pressure tests to ensure trailer safety.
• Carrying out TIG and MIG/MAG welding on piping and structural components.
• Adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
• Logging your work and reporting progress to the workshop supervisor.

About the role

As a Cryogenic Tank Trailer Technician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of cryogenic tank trailers, which transport industrial gases, CO₂, and LNG. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to ensure our vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on cryogenic tank trailers;
• Diagnosing and resolving technical malfunctions quickly and independently;
• Overhauling valves and conducting pressure tests to ensure trailer safety;

What you bring

• Proven experience as a technician or mechanic;
• Solid knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, and ideally hydraulics;
• At least 2 years of experience working with cryogenic systems or gas technology;
• Welding certification (TIG/MIG-MAG) or willingness to obtain one;
• Familiarity with safety procedures and handling hazardous materials;
