Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, implement, test and deploy rack system solutions for data center and enterprise customers. You will lead tests for cluster, storage, HPC and cloud infrastructures, ensuring deployments meet customer requirements.

The role involves writing test procedures, automating tasks with scripts, benchmarking server hardware and networking, and documenting results. Travel up to 50% will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years Linux/Network troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiar with TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP and application protocols.
• Experience with HPC, AI or cloud benchmark tests, networking architecture.
• Exposure to visualization tech and cloud computing.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight timelines.
• Certifications such as CCNA, AWS, RHCE, RHCSA or LPIC-1/2 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and test cluster/storage infrastructures and HPC/cloud platforms.
• Lead day-to-day operational support for clusters, storage, HPC and cloud infra.
• Develop and test complex rack/system deployments to meet customer needs.
• Document test procedures and troubleshooting steps for servers/networks/clusters.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely fixes.
• Conduct tests and benchmarks on server hardware, storage, networking, and ML workflows.
• Collect, visualize, and analyze test results; write test reports and SOPs.
• Write scripts to automate deployment and test environments.
• Frequent international travel as required (up to 50%).
