Job summary

DEMCON HTS is seeking a system engineer to work on developing complex high-tech systems within multidisciplinary project teams. You will translate customer requirements into robust system solutions from concept through integration and verification, and actively contribute to defining system requirements and architecture.

You will collaborate closely with mechanical, electronics, and software disciplines, taking ownership of system parts and supporting technical decisions.

• Define and understand system requirements, and help develop concepts and architecture.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, and software disciplines to align work.
• Take ownership of parts of the system and contribute to technical decisions.
• Identify risks and help mitigate them; ensure commitments are met while balancing progress and quality.
• Work closely with the (lead) system engineer and project manager to provide input for technical decisions.

Job description

Working on the development of complex high-tech systems within multidisciplinary project teams; Applying technical insight and problem-solving skills to translate customer requirements into robust system solutions—from concept through integration and verification; Actively contributing to defining and understanding system requirements, and help developing system concepts and architecture; Collaborating closely with colleagues from mechanical, electronics, and software disciplines, and ensuring alignment between disciplines; Taking ownership of specific parts of the system and contributing to technical decision-making within the project; Working closely with the (lead) system engineer and project manager, providing substantive input for technical decisions; Identifying risks and helping to manage and mitigate them; Ensuring commitments are met and maintaining the balance between progress and quality.
