Job summary

Siemens eMobility is seeking a System Architect for EV charging systems (DC) to define architectures and drive next‑generation charging platforms worldwide. You will coordinate hardware, software, cloud, and connectivity teams, ensuring safety, cybersecurity, and standards compliance.

You bring 10+ years in product development with 5+ years in system architecture, plus hands-on EV charging or power electronics expertise, and a proven leadership track record in multidisciplinary programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years in product development and 5+ years in system architecture or leadership roles.
  • Experience with EV charging, power electronics, energy systems, industrial automation, or related technologies.
  • Proven ability to lead complex multidisciplinary development programs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and govern the architecture of DC charging products.

System Architect – EV Charging Systems (DC)

As System Architect – EV Charging Systems, you will define the architecture of next-generation DC charging platforms worldwide, driving innovation across hardware, software, power electronics, connectivity, cybersecurity, and energy management.

Your Mission
  • As the technical authority for EV charging systems, you will:
  • Define and govern the architecture of DC charging products.
  • Translate customer, market, and business needs into system requirements.
  • Lead architecture decisions, trade-off analyses, and technology roadmaps.
  • Align hardware, firmware, software, cloud, connectivity, and validation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, cybersecurity, and certification requirements.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise
  • Experience in several of the following areas:
  • EV charging systems and charging topologies.
  • Power conversion, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters.
  • High-power electrical systems and thermal management.
  • Embedded systems, real-time systems, and Embedded Linux.
  • Communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, MQTT, OCPP, and ISO 15118.
  • Requirements engineering, system integration, interface management, and architecture governance.
  • Compliance, cybersecurity, EMC, certification, and electrical safety.
  • Model-Based System Engineering experience is a plus.
