System Architect – EV Charging Systems (DC)

At Siemens eMobility Charging, we are accelerating the transition to sustainable transportation through innovative EV charging infrastructure. As System Architect – EV Charging Systems, you will define the architecture of next-generation DC charging platforms worldwide, driving innovation across hardware, software, power electronics, connectivity, cybersecurity, and energy management.
Your Mission
- As the technical authority for EV charging systems, you will:
- Define and govern the architecture of DC charging products.
- Translate customer, market, and business needs into system requirements.
- Lead architecture decisions, trade-off analyses, and technology roadmaps.
- Align hardware, firmware, software, cloud, connectivity, and validation teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, cybersecurity, and certification requirements.
- Drive modularization, platform reuse, risk management, and system validation.
- Represent Siemens in technical reviews, customer engagements, and strategic partnerships.
- Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years in product development and 5+ years in system architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Experience with EV charging, power electronics, energy systems, industrial automation, or related technologies.
- Proven ability to lead complex multidisciplinary development programs.
Technical Expertise
- Experience in several of the following areas:
- EV charging systems and charging topologies.
- Power conversion, rectifiers, and DC/DC converters.
- High-power electrical systems and thermal management.
- Embedded systems, real-time systems, and Embedded Linux.
- Communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, MQTT, OCPP, and ISO 15118.
- Requirements engineering, system integration, interface management, and architecture governance.
- Compliance, cybersecurity, EMC, certification, and electrical safety.
- Model-Based System Engineering experience is a plus.
