Job summary

Boskalis’ SMIT Salvage is seeking an enthusiastic Communication & Sustainability intern/working student to translate complex sustainability topics into clear, engaging content for internal and external audiences. You will craft newsletters, articles and social content, gathering stories across the business and helping build strategic communication calendars.

Work will involve both hands-on content creation and developing broader communication strategies, with opportunities to contribute to Young

Qualifications

• You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in a relevant field.
• You have an interest in sustainability and can translate complex topics into clear messages.
• You are a strong writer with excellent communication skills.
• You are creative, curious and enjoy fresh ideas.
• You like combining hands-on content creation with strategic thinking.
• You are proactive, organized and eager to learn.
• You can work independently and in a team.
• You have excellent command of English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Translate sustainability initiatives and projects into engaging content for internal and external audiences.
• Create content for newsletters, articles, case studies, social media and industry publications.
• Gather input and stories from colleagues across the business.
• Support development of communication strategies and content calendars for sustainability topics.
• Identify effective communication channels for different messages and audiences.
• Increase visibility and understanding of our sustainability efforts and the Boskalis brand.
• Develop creative communication concepts and propose new ideas.
• Support day-to-day communications and longer-term strategies.
• Develop a protocol for future follow-up initiatives.
