Job summary

Vitsan Claims Services in the Netherlands seeks a Marine Surveyor to investigate cargo or vessel damages at ports, shipyards and cargo-handling facilities. The role requires hands-on surveying, reporting and strong communication.

You will conduct bunker and draft surveys, assess causes and costs, and produce clear English reports. A Class B driving license and full work authorization for the Netherlands are required with no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience in maritime operations essential.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Dutch work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Investigate cargo or vessel damages at ports, shipyards and cargo-handling facilities.
• Assess the cause, extent, and cost of the damage.
• Support marine surveys, including bunker and draft surveys.
• Prepare English reports detailing survey findings.

Job description

• Experience in maritime operations, shipyards, and ports,
• Solid knowledge and practical experience in Marine Surveying, Particularly in Bunker Survey and Draft Survey,
• Fluency in written and spoken English,
• No travel restrictions and the ability to adapt to flexible working hours,
• Possession of a Class B driving license and ability to drive actively,
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset,
• Ability to perform regular reporting and attention to detail,
• Existing right to work and reside in the Netherlands. The company is unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship for this position.
