Job summary

Univar Solutions in Rotterdam, NL, is seeking a proactive Supply Planner to own end-to-end planning for a defined product portfolio, balancing service, cost, and inventory in a fast-paced environment. You will plan purchasing with SAP MRP, coordinate with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales, and maintain inventory targets while supporting continuous improvement.

Hybrid work arrangement is offered, with three days per week in the Rotterdam office and two days

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning for assigned products from supplier to customer delivery.
• Plan and execute purchasing using SAP MRP, ensuring optimal timing and quantities.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales.
• Maintain high service levels (OTIF) while balancing cost and inventory.
• Manage inventory targets, safety stocks, reorder points and bad inventory reductions.
• Handle deviations, shortages and non-conformances with timely escalation.
• Monitor performance via Tableau reporting and support continuous improvement.
• Serve as point of contact for internal stakeholders and other Univar locations.

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Supply Planner to join our team in Rotterdam, NL. In this role, you will own the end-to-end planning for a defined product portfolio, ensuring excellent service to our customers while balancing cost, inventory, and supplier performance. What you’ll do

• Own end-to-end planning for assigned products, from supplier to customer delivery.
• Plan and execute purchasing using SAP MRP, ensuring optimal order timing and quantities.
• Coordinate closely with Logistics, Operations, Customer Service, Product Management and Sales.
• Ensure high service levels (On Time In Full), while balancing cost, inventory and working capital.
• Manage inventory targets, safety stocks, reorder points and bad inventory reduction.
• Handle deviations, shortages, and non-conformances with timely escalation and clear communication.
• Monitor performance via Tableau reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as point of contact for internal stakeholders and other Univar locations.

What you’ll need

• 4+ years of experience in supply planning, logistics, transport or customer service (junior profiles also welcome).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations, or related fields or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SAP and strong Excel skills (or willingness to learn).
• Fluent in English (additional European language is a plus).
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, ambiguous and fast-changing environment.
• Retail, chemical or distribution industry experience is a plus.

We offer a hybrid working model, allowing you to work three days per week from our Rotterdam office and two days remotely from home, providing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with the team.
