Job summary

VDL is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to connect our internal teams with suppliers, ensuring product quality and driving continuous improvement. You will audit suppliers, monitor standards and lead corrective actions to enhance our supply chain.

Excellent Dutch and English communication is essential to collaborate across the organization. With a technical MBO/HBO background and 2+ years in a similar role, you will analyze data, initiate Lean/Six Sigma improvements, and report progress to

Qualifications

• Completed MBO/HBO education in a technical field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a technical/industrial environment, preferably supply chain quality.
• Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001) and Lean/Six Sigma tools preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive improvement actions.
• Excellent communication in Dutch and English with a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Select and assess new and existing suppliers.
• Set up and conduct quality and process audits.
• Translate and monitor quality standards with suppliers.
• Initiate and supervise supplier improvement programs.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Report findings and progress to internal stakeholders.
