Supervisor

We are Sesé, a leading Spanish business organization in the comprehensive logistics sector. We have a team of more than 12,000 people in 22 countries and we are currently looking to recruit talent for our warehouse in Amsterdam. The warehouseis growing and we are searching for a Supervisor.

What are you going to do?

  • Effectively directing and coordinating the daily warehouse ensuring productivity, safety, and accuracy;
  • Ensure correct operational execution in the Logistics and Forwarding departments;
  • Enforce safety and compliance standards;
  • Resolve operational issues in real-time;
  • Monitor performance and drive improvements;
  • Motivate/coach team leaders and (first)operators;
  • Linking pin between Operations manager and floor;
  • Close cooperation with Operations manager, business process controller, HR and floor;
  • Ensures that leaders and operators are aware of their roles and goals;
  • Analyzing data and KPI’S;
  • Responsible for daily meetings about KPI’S;
  • Administration of hours etc. in support of preparation of monthly billing.

Who are we looking for?

  • 2 years experience in team management in the logistics sector;
  • Technical skills: Familiarity with logistics software and systems for tracking and reporting KPI’s;
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment;
  • Strong leadership skills to inspire, motivate and effectively lead the team;
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with other departments, suppliers and customers;
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in a dynamic environment in which unexpected situations can arise;
  • Good judgment skills and ability to make decisions;
  • Strong interpersonal and motivational skills;
  • Strict on rules and regulations;
  • Experience of working in customs bonded environment is a plus.
