Job summary

IMC is offering a 9-week internship for a Deep Learning Researcher. You will work with researchers on real projects, exploring transformers, foundation models, and RL, under a mentor. A strong publication or open-source background is valued, with a focus on practical research and impact on trading.

The program provides accommodations and aims to transition high performers to a full-time Graduate Deep Learning Researcher role after completion.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a PhD or Master's in CS/ML/AI or related field, graduating 2028.
• Experience applying deep learning techniques.
• Publications in NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR or open source contributions a plus.
• Strong Python and DL framework experience (PyTorch/JAX/TF).
• Able to clearly explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers on real projects to build or improve models impacting business.
• Explore areas like representation learning, transformers, foundation models, generative AI, and RL.
• Develop research skills with mentorship and intern lead feedback.
• Participate in professional development sessions to plan future at IMC.
• Attend events and network with cohort and employees.
