Job summary

MW Watermark is seeking an experienced welder to perform structural welding for large water treatment machinery and subcomponents. The role requires MIG and TIG skills in a hands-on factory environment.

You will handle pre- and post-weld prep, operate saws and drills, and assist with forklift operation as needed. Join a team focused on quality and continuous improvement in a demanding manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in structural welding of steel components.
• 1+ year of experience with MIG and TIG welding techniques.
• Weld certifications are preferred.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

Responsibilities

• Structural welding of water treatment machinery components.
• Pre weld prep of subcomponents and post weld prep for paint. Includes removal of sharp edges, burrs, weld spatter and slag by grinding, chiseling, etc.
• Some non-structural welding of carbon and stainless steel.
• Operation of saws, drills, shears, breaks, etc.
• Operation of forklifts.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
• Other duties as assigned.
