Job summary

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for a motivated candidate to join its team as a Business Analyst Intern – Strategy, Consulting & M&A (M&A). Based in Amsterdam, you will contribute to market research, strategic questions and exploratory assessments of merger and acquisition opportunities.

You will work in an international environment that values collaboration and learning, with a supervisor helping you prioritize, take on responsibilities and develop practical analytical

Qualifications

• Currently studying strategy, finance, economics, consulting or management.
• Enjoys researching, summarizing and comparing information from different sources.
• Foundation in financial analysis and use of Excel and presentation tools.
• Rigorous and able to distinguish facts, assumptions and recommendations.
• Comfortable communicating in English; French is an asset for collaboration with French-speaking colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Market research: analyze companies, trends and needs in the markets under review.
• Business analysis: organize data and turn business questions into actionable analysis.
• Assessment: compare business models and identify potential growth drivers.
• M&A: support target research and prepare company profiles.
• Financial analysis: support preliminary financial statement reviews and valuation comparisons.
• Deal materials: organize information for preliminary assessments under supervision.
• Recommendations: prepare memos and presentations explaining assumptions and risks.
• Follow-up: document decisions and track actions arising from reviewed projects.
