Job summary

Schuberg Philis in the Netherlands is seeking a Technical Security Lead to bridge security strategy with engineering execution. You will work with stakeholders, engineers, auditors and security specialists to embed security into day-to-day operations while maintaining a long-term perspective.

We expect deep knowledge of information security and cloud security, strong governance and risk management skills, and the ability to translate complex risks for business leaders.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in information security or cloud security.
• Ability to translate security requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Experience with governance, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to discuss risk with senior stakeholders and shape strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead security activities across engineering teams and customer stakeholders.
• Drive security maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure environments remain aligned with baselines, controls, and policies.
• Lead audit, compliance, and regulatory activities when required.
• Act as trusted advisor on security architecture, governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
• Lead security requirements gathering and embedding security in design and implementation decisions.
• Lead security incident response and act as escalation point when required.
• Promote security awareness within teams and foster shared responsibility.
• Monitor developments in cybersecurity and regulatory changes.
