Strategic Proposal Lead – Defence & Security (Hybrid)

Job summary

DroneShield seeks a Proposal Specialist to own select proposal responses—tenders, RFIs, RFQs—and other bids across European and international defence and security markets, in support of regional Commercial Directors.

This role will be in-office or hybrid with an expectation of generally working at least 3 days/week from our Amsterdam European HQ. You will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, legal, finance, and executive stakeholders to develop compelling, compliant proposals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in technology proposal development, preferably in defence or aerospace.
• Familiarity with defence procurement processes.
• Strong writing, editing and storytelling abilities.
• Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with offset programs is highly desirable.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional input and manage multiple bids.
• Proficient with MS Office, SharePoint, Teams and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of proposal responses from RFP review to final submission.
• Lead writing across technical, management and executive sections.
• Coordinate inputs from sales, engineering, legal, finance and other stakeholders.
• Establish proposal plans, timelines and review cycles.
• Run internal reviews and incorporate feedback to improve quality.
• Build and maintain reusable content libraries and boilerplate.
