Job summary

LG Energy Solution Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Business Planning to drive strategic planning across the organization and oversee IRA tax credit initiatives. The role requires coordinating with production, purchasing, sales, finance, tax, legal, and other functions to maximize opportunities and ensure compliance.

The position involves leading cross-functional projects, preparing executive-level analyses, and guiding investments and expansion efforts within the battery industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and mid-term planning aligned with strategy.
• Analyze performance, identify issues, risks, trends.
• Develop scenarios, forecasts, and strategic analyses.
• Prepare management reports and executive presentations.
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives in the battery industry.
• Coordinate initiatives across Production, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, and other functions.
• Evaluate impacts of strategic initiatives; provide recommendations.
• Support feasibility assessments for investments and partnerships.
• Lead IRA tax credit strategy and Section 45X credits.
• Manage IRA tax credit process: eligibility, calculations, docs, reporting.
• Maximize IRA credit benefits while complying with tax laws.
• Maintain IRA reporting, forecasting, monetization tracking.
• Monitor legislative developments affecting IRA credits.
• Update operations to improve IRA eligibility or benefits.
• Coordinate with HQ, tax advisors, auditors, legal, and external providers.
• Establish processes and controls for IRA claims.
• Manage multiple strategic projects; track milestones.
• Support ad-hoc analyses for exec management.
• 5S3R standards: maintain cleanliness at site.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
