Job summary

Koonings, a leading bridal fashion retailer, seeks an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial performance for Koonings and Kasteel Oost, delivering reliable reporting and analyses to support strategic decisions.

You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and audits, and optimize financial processes across both organizations in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Economics, or Accounting.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar.
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, and management accounting.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong analytical skills and KPI management experience.
• Experience with ERP and financial software systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Experience with process optimization and automation.
• Interest in retail, hospitality, leisure, or events is a plus.
• Independent, meticulous, professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process and manage bank transactions.
• Monitor the financial health of both organizations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and liquidity projections.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze revenue, margins, cost structures, and returns.
• Provide management information and financial reporting.
• Ensure records are processed correctly.
• Optimize and automate financial processes and systems.
• Support investment analyses and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare financial statements and oversee audits.
• Monitor budgets and advise departments on financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
