Job summary

Bol.com is seeking a Controller Strategic Finance to translate vast financial data into compelling insights for board-level decision-making. You will help develop the long-term plan, build sophisticated models, and present executive-ready narratives that guide investments and operational improvements.

You will work within the Business Planning team, collaborating across functions, managing urgent ad hoc requests, and shaping the strategic narrative with leadership exposure.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of finance experience with strong modeling and analytical skills.
• Background in FP&A or management consulting prepares for board-level storytelling.
• Master’s degree and advanced financial knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development and communication of long-term strategic plans with leadership.
• Present financial analyses to senior management and board members.
• Build sophisticated financial models and translate strategic plans into financial constructs.
• Translate complex insights into executive-ready presentations and three-bullet summaries.
• Manage diverse stakeholders to ensure timely input for planning processes.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional environment to ensure relevant perspectives are considered.
• Handle ad hoc requests while maintaining focus on ongoing priorities.
• Challenge status quo thinking and propose innovative financial strategies.
