PetSmart is hiring a Retail Store Manager to lead store operations, people management, and the pet-parent experience. You will drive safety, service, and financial outcomes while upholding PetSmart values in daily store activities.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling efficiency, and the ability to coach a diverse team, ensuring compliance with policies and delivering top customer care.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating.
• Builds an open-door culture in the store by engaging and listening to associates.
• Accountable for staffing and scheduling.
• Supports associate development including reviews, recognition, and onboarding.
• Delegates effectively and empowers others to succeed.
• Ensures policy compliance and assets protection.
• Drives store profitability through KPIs, cost control, and scheduling.
• Manages payroll weekly and labor within budget.
• Prepares and reviews store reports and prioritizes safety.
