Company Overview
Bloomon is turning the flower industry on its head - for the better. How? By disrupting the traditional supply chain! We skip the auction and wholesale, to shorten the journey for our flowers. And we harness technology, brand and innovation to deliver gifts and subscriptions that delight our customers across Europe.
We launched in Amsterdam in 2014, and in 2021 joined forces with Bloom & Wild, the UK's fastest growing ecommerce company (according to the Financial Times). Our group is backed by top tier investors and is now home to a family of 3 strong brands, Bloom & Wild, bloomon and Bergamotte. Together, we’ve delivered over 20 million orders (and counting!), making us the largest direct to consumer flower business in Europe.
Our vision is to create the destination for making life a little more thoughtful and beautiful. And we won't stop at flowers and plants. Starting with the Bloom & Wild brand, we're expanding our gifting offering to other categories like cakes, candles and cocktails. This is all part of our ambition to build Europe's #1 direct to consumer gifting destination.
We care wildly about people and our planet. Which is why we’re so proud to be a certified B Corp - committed to making long-term positive change for our community, and the world around us.
Position Overview
Procurement Team @ Bloom & Wild Group – Stock Planning Lead
You’ll be joining the engine room of Bloom & Wild’s fastest-growing categories. While we are known for our flowers, our Procurement team provides the operational and supply chain foundation for our non-horticultural range. From fresh-baked treats and luxury hamper components to home, lifestyle, and the essential packaging that delivers the 'wow' moment.
Our team is divided into two clear pillars: Strategic Procurement and Stock Planning. As the Stock Planning Lead, you will report to the Head of Procurement & Inventory, acting as the architect of our operational procurement function and building the scalable systems we need to grow.
We are a team that 'cares wildly' about impact. Working closely with partners across the business, we ensure the infrastructure is in place to support their vision. Our focus is on delivering perfect availability, optimising inventory health, and enabling rapid range expansion through robust operational processes. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a function from the ground up and see your work directly fuel our success as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Scale the Function – You’ll be the architect of our non-horticultural stock planning strategy. This is an opportunity to set the vision for how we scale, demonstrating the ability to turn rapid business growth into a sophisticated, high-performing operational machine.
- Master Stock Availability – Lead your team to ensure optimal stock levels across all sites, balancing high availability with the need to minimise waste and holding costs. Work closely with Warehouse teams and Strategic Procurement Managers to ensure our supply is as efficient as it is reliable.
- Develop & Automate – Build scalable, custom, automated supply chain and inventory tools and develop AI workflows to eliminate manual data entry and calculation tasks. Lead the development of agile, spreadsheet-based solutions while mapping the transition to long-term, robust systems.
- Process & KPI Leadership – Develop standardised processes and frameworks, leading weekly KPI reviews to shift the function from reactive problem-solving to proactive inventory and risk management. Define what 'success' looks like for the department.
- Team Transformation & Development – Provide oversight, coaching, and mentorship to a team of stock planners, transitioning them from manual execution to analytical decision-making. Build internal succession and resilience, ensuring the team can handle increasing complexity.
- Strategic Growth & Inventory Control – De-risk the launch of new ranges by ensuring operational infrastructure is mature enough to handle increased SKU counts. Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure right-size inventory levels to protect availability, de-risk peak periods, and release trapped cash, while developing third‑party relationships (charities/discounters) to manage excess stock.
- Operational Execution – Support with planning and execution when needed to ensure continuity (especially when issues occur or in peak times).
- 3PW Performance Management – Measure and manage performance of our 3PW partner against agreed SLA terms.
- Supplier Performance – Build internal operational performance reporting and supplier tiering, put in place initiatives to improve operational supplier performance.

- 5+ years experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain or supply planning role, with experience leading a team.

- Continuous improvement mindset – adept at identifying system limitations and establishing continuous feedback loops with your team to resolve and automate them further.
- Proactive and hands‑on – willing to be a direct contributor to enable scale, rolling up sleeves to understand operational tasks to a high standard and covering gaps during peak periods or illness.
- Commercially and data-driven.
- Motivated by protecting margins, eliminating P&L leakage driven by manual errors, and right‑sizing inventory levels to optimise working capital and cash flow.
