Job summary

ASML in the Netherlands is seeking a Resist and Stochastics Researcher to advance computational metrology and patterning. You will build rigorous 3D stochastic models of resist and exposure, and extract simplified representations from wafer data.

Collaborate with lithography and wafer processing teams, design tests with partners, suppliers and customers, and translate complex physical phenomena into actionable insights for next-generation metrology products.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, applied mathematics or a related STEM field.
• Strong mathematical skills and physical intuition.
• Experience translating complex phenomena into simplified models and data-driven insights.
• Programming in Python and version-control experience (GitHub) are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and calibrate compact 3D stochastic models for resist and process behavior.
• Design and coordinate test plans to generate data for calibration with partners and customers.
• Collaborate with lithography and wafer specialists to translate modeling insights into solutions.
• Generate new ideas for metrology and patterning products.
